Hello, I am looking to sell my handmade Meinl Weston 6450 Baer. I have had this MW 6450 for my undergraduate and am deciding to sell it because I am doing a master's in engineering. It was originally selected by Aaron Tindall after playing well over a dozen other 6450's (both production/handmade). The previous owners of this horn are Aaron Tindall and Alessandro Fossi.
Feel free to reach out to me or Aaron Tindall on the qualities of the horn.
Modifications have been made to the horn by Warren Deck, Matt Walters, and Aaron Tindall.

Modifications:
1. There is a 20.5 mm 5th valve placed under the valve block, new tuning pipe made at the factory that opens up in diameter much quicker, and the S bow has been removed and gradually increased into the 3rd branch as well. There are a myriad of 5th valve combinations available with this set up that sound super and are in tune.
2. The original lead pipe was changed to the Meinl Weston 2165 lead pipe.
3. The original bell was changed to the Meinl Weston 2165 bell.
The original parts(bell and lead pipe) are included.
Altieri Gig Bag and United Flight Case included.
I would like to sell the tuba outright.
The tuba is located in Miami, FL.
The price of the tuba is 25,000 OBO.
Feel free to reach out to me at stefanhopman56@gmail.com
Thank you for your time!

Re: FS: Handmade Meinl Weston Baer 6450
This is quite interesting!
Does the bell have the 2165 “tone ring” in it?
Was this an attempt to make a bit of a modern 2165?

Re: FS: Handmade Meinl Weston Baer 6450
Hello Matt, thank you for your question.
The bell is a regular 2165 bell and thus does not contain a "tone ring".
This horn has the ease of playing, intonation, stability/core of sound of the Baer with the tone, resonance, and depth of the 2165
