I've never played one of these. And I'm not in the market. But I'm also endlessly curious. Would this fit the bill of a sub-$5000 188-type horn?

Am I the only one that can't click on that link and see anything of value? It takes me to a page to set up as a seller on Facebook but not the listing itself

Closer to a older 186 before they started putting the larger bells on them. Great tubas, I had one in college, sold it to get a piggy, and in the last couple of years found another one. Liked it so much I added a 5th valve to it, but only because I had the parts. It's a very playable tuba as a 4 valve. Most cerveny tubas are, as low F is quite in tune played 1-2-4

Works for me. I'm a member of the
public group it's in, so that might have something to do with it.
EDIT: I redid the link based on "share post", so try it now.

It is lighter than my 186 of the same vintage and has a bigger sound - more Alex like than Mirafone like. From what I understand this is the Cerveny model that Mirafone copied for the 186.

I looked at the owner's FB page, and it appears he sold the horn for $1300.
