The seller promises good valves.
The price seems fair.
I played a jazz festival there about forty years ago. At that time, it was a nice place to visit.

This is the kind of horn you can buy once you get over always needing new shiny things. The body isn't pretty but it appears to be straight- at least the parts we can see. The only people besides yourself who can see that your tuba ain't new and pretty are the people sitting around you. The people in the audience can see a nice shiny bell. Besides, they didn't come to see you. They came to hear the pretty music and most really don't or wouldn't understand why the tuba is an important part of the band and how the band depends on you to do your job right so they can do their job right.

Ugly tuba = lower expectations from others, and more accolades since they thought a less attractive tuba wouldn't sound as good (or that a good player would play a bad looking tuba)
Pretty tuba = higher expectations (especially conductors) and any accolades are more like a head nod of "that sounded good, just like I expected that it would"
