Not me. Not interested for myself, passing this along here.

The seller is a member of the other forum, maybe this one too? I considered buying this horn about 6 months ago. Nice, clean tuba. TE model with the brass inner/outer slides.

Interesting to see such a recent one with the long 5th valve circuit.

IKR?

He told me the s/n put it at late 80s/early90s... I haven't confirmed for myself, though.

But, it does look like it's in really good condition, plus the premium qualifiers of CC and 5-valve.

Personally, I totally dig it, except for the brass and not nickel silver tubing. @the elephant has made it painfully clear that re-tubing isn't something I'd want to do. As if my Rudy has ANY nickel silver tubing.

Anyway, bump for this tuba. I bet it plays and sounds like $5k for sure!

Someone must have already bought it - so they can re-tube it.

$5250
Student model 186, built 1998
5 valve CC
Some kind of bag
Unitec case
Not perfect, but very good condition

Seemed like a reasonable setup.

I'm hoping that some inbound college student, or very lucky HS student ended up with it.

I'm a tuba snob... If this horn would have had nickel silver slides, it would have ended up in my house about 6 months ago.

:tuba:
And left your house 3 months ago?

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

The Rudy would have come and put it to shame!
