Yes, I know this has been out for two months. But, absolutely gorgeous playing. Some of the crispest euphonium playing I have ever heard. Mauro Martins is so good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ZKnzrNtrI

As a former gigging nylon string guitarist, that hurts my heart, just a little bit...

Sorry - good sound though!
I think we can all be impressed by the technical facility of the playing.
I've got to agree with Joe, though. The effectiveness of that movement is lost when it's arranged like this. There isn't any instrument other than guitar that can actually make this work, and without the agony at the end of the cadenza, and the fight between the guitar and orchestra, there's no point in doing the movement. https://youtu.be/RhO5OSLZjl8?t=844
The arrangement is pretty. It's very good playing. I think all tuba players can understand the desire and need to reach out into other rep. But, it doesn't do the music justice.
Edit: This piece holds a very special place to me, and I have strong feelings about it. I IN NO WAY mean to discourage anyone from playing music that they want to perform and feel they can perform meaningfully.

I totally agree with you and bloke. I just thought that the euphonium sound on this was too good not to share.

Of course, Daniel! You all did great, and definitely helped make the beautiful sounds!
