Not for me, for a friend. Does anyone know where I can find either a number #1 or #3 piston for a 4 valve compensating Besson Euphonium?

Had your friend been in the UK then I’d have suggested contacting:
https://www.dawkes.co.uk/ and http://www.mcqueens.com/
Valves aren’t big and there is a good postal service between the UK and USA so why not contact them anyway and have a conversation about what they can offer / alternative sources of supply ? Just a thought.

I was hoping to find someone with an old parts horn or a valve in a drawer somewhere. It's a Pre 1974 new standard

If it comes to it, I'll give them that contact and see if it's possible to order a valve for that old an instrument. Not sure how much if any they have changed over the years

Both companies I mentioned do a lot of repair work, McQueens in particular, it may be that they have some scrap instruments retained for parts / salvage … or they possibly know of someone who does. Those instruments would have been relatively common in the UK, but a bit of a rarity in the USA.
I’m not sure of the point at which Besson and B&H instruments became the same except for cosmetic differences, maybe an Imperial part will fit / be the same.

Found a very good used one for a great price. Valve cap and button included, I feel like I lucked out
