Need help with a part number

Post by ParLawGod »

Dumb question. What is the formal name of the screws that go on the end of the rod (pic attached)? I bought a used Eastman 562 a couple years ago that did not include them, and don't know where to begin in terms of acquiring them. Anyone here have a list of Eastman part numbers? I wonder if B&S 51 parts would work here?

Thanks for any help!

It's a "ROTOR LEVER SCREW NUT", part number PTB-EBB562-55.

You’ve already received the perfect exact answer for your exact question, so it’s time for the rest of us to post BS…

So many of those are a standard 3 mm thread, that you might be able to find a 3 mm thread knurled nut on ebay or from mcmaster.com

Also very helpful, thanks!

I just want to get something on it ASAP. I got a new gig bag last month, and on one trip the rod shifted slightly (not enough for anything to come apart, but enough to spook me).

We are an Eastman dealer and can get parts easily. Need anything else for that horn? Message/email/call me if you'd like to pursue.

If M3 thread, you might like this.
If not, keep it in your pocket as a talisman/confidence-booster, or include in in your zipper compartment of community band useless emergency stuff.
