POLL - felt tip, india ink, something else, or leave it?

Post by bloke »

I'm sticking this in the (probably...??) $1XXX "Miraphone"-embossed FatBastard-hauling Jakob Winter case, because there are only two mouthpiece storage holes, and no storage "compartment".

Within it might be a flat-blade a #6 Torx (individual with a nice handle), a slot screwdriver, and a valve oil bottle - refilled with lamp oil...

...oh yeah, and some 🕵️ "sensitive" documents, I suppose. :coffee:

OK...
...so should I leave it alone, or obliterate the "MiraFone" portion (leaving ONLY the "MiraPHone" insignia showing.

If you're in favor of doctoring it up, what should I use?

It's been a while since we've had a POLL, much less one involving this much controversy, yes? :smilie8: :smilie7:

A frequent contributor recently posted an offering entitled "Less is More." If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I kind of get not wanting any markings on the bag so I’ve temporarily set aside my if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mind-set. Of course, it is arguably broke because it has marking on it that you really don’t want there and the question is how to get shot of them. If you already have ink or a pen that might permanently cover them then why not give it a try before - if later needed - spending money on anything else. Perhaps I’m a skin-flint, but if a solution is cheap and effective then it scores well with me.

‘Less is more …’ Well less advertising on the something would give me more pleasure in its use.

Leave the Miraphone logo alone.

Get a paint pen. On the flip-side scrawl in large, intentionally messy lettering "FAT BASTARD".

Who really needs "kid-safe" tuba accessories, anyway?

You should also have "GET IN MY BELLY!" engraved on the bell of the horn. (Or "C'MERE! I'M GONNA *EAT* YOU!")
