tuba history: who were Sander and Sandner?
There's a recent for-sale listing for a Scherzer CC tuba that's inscribed with "Scherzer Inh. Sandner". I have a similar tuba that is inscribed "Scherzer Inh. Sander".
Were Sander and Sandner different people or companies? Were they the same person spelled differently for export vs. local sale? Or something else? And either way, who was this person or people?

I restored a C (and a B-flat...??) Sander for Richard Brown YEARS ago.
Either one or both of them featured bottom bows that were SUPER thick brass...
...maybe a millimeter, a sixteenth, or even thicker !!!
