FS: Thomann Phoenix F Tuba - Sold

After several months on the fence, I've decided to post this instrument for sale.
I bought this instrument new last March directly from Thomann Music in Germany, which means I had to pay shipping and import taxes. This is the same instrument as the John Packer JP37F F tuba, but, with a different stencil. I've seen mention here of the possibility that JP pays a bit for their instruments than other instruments from the same factory, and I have no idea if that is true. I can tell you when I got mine the 4th valve slide was a bit out of alignment and the second valve slide was a bit long. I had the 4th slide aligned and the second slide shortened. Randy Mueller here in DC did the work and there's zero trace that any work was ever done.
This horn is cosmetically perfect. No scratches, no dents, no ding, no lacquer wear or marks. It's probably got less than 4 hours of play time on it because I never "shook hands" with it. If I told you this instrument was brand new there would be little doubt it wasn't. But you cannot get closer to brand new than this instrument. It's left the house once since I got it.
The horn is in Northern Virginia and will be available for purchase / checking out at the Army Workshop on Feb 2-4 (although I will only be there part of the day on Feb 2). The horn comes with a bag. The price is $4,000 USD plus shipping, but obviously shipping doesn't come into play if you're in town for the Army Workshop. Payment will be either PayPal or Venmo - I prefer the Friends / Family method to avoid fees but if you prefer the other method you will also need to pay those fees ($145.16 for PayPal, $77.57 for Venmo).
