sorry...I just had to record and post these two measures

This is a two bar excerpt from the Sammy Davis, Jr. arrangement of "Birth of the Blues".
Unlike all the other charts (a quarter inch of cheap-grade/thin 8-1/2 x 11 copy paper) this one has BOTH a bass trombone AND a tuba part.
Of course, I can't play both, but I have both parts. This lick is in contrary motion with the bass trombone, and sounds so much groovier than the bass trombone part (as do a few other licks) that I'm going to paste it over the bass 'bone part.
(I'm still playing it on the F cimbasso, obviously - and with the shallow/small-throat prototype mouthpiece...)
I was playing a bit under tempo - "relishing" it a bit.
Touch the video, and the black bar at the bottom will allow you turn on the sound.
Concert is Saturday with a Friday rehearsal...
I need to start looking at these (get back into F instrument button-mashing) and set FatBastard over in the corner for a few days.
MOSTLY...I need to practice these two bar mute-changes (bucket/plunger/cup).
