Knurling is satisfying, isn't it?

Yes. Some think it is one of the least-respected Olympic sports, but I know better.

I've been eyeing that one. It was relisted a few times; the auction ended prematurely with the reserve unmet. And now it's listed considerably higher.

I've heard the scale is bad on these, but I'd still be tempted if it hung around the current price.

I owned a Conn Giant and have played a big York, King and Holton. The Holton was the best sounding horn but the York was the only one that was playable. The King was a joke, playing a scale sounded like free form jazz. 🤣 The smaller American Eb tubas play much better but there's no guarantees there. I've had 2 small Conn's, one played fantastically but the other has flat 4th and 5th partials. My 'medium' King Eb plays and sounds great, like a 621F with soul, but still has that wide octave. I haven't played a factory small York, though I played a Bob Rusk cut short F that was awesome. Tons of core, only bad note was (I think) high F and there was an easy alternate.

Apparently sold.

These E-flats are good furnishers of bells, bottom bows, braces, and water keys.

Yeah, sorry, i shoulda mentioned the Virginia craigslist one got sold.

The CT ebay one is being auctioned (for lower opening bid, and has slide extenders, but not a pleather case and mouthpieces and oil and a beginner tuba book)
