Using the Pritchard Scale, in your opinion, what is the BEST tuba recording? (just one please). I will compile the results.

The album I listen to most often, for pure enjoyment, is canTUBAlada by Hans Nickel.

Floyd Cooley--"The Romantic Tuba". Includes transcriptions of works by J S Bach and Brahms. Supremely gifted musician and tuba player, in that order.

I think the answer has to be the album with the most cumbersome title in the world
Roger Bobo & Tuba Play Galliard, Barat, Kraft, Hindemith, Wilder, With Ralph Grierson, Piano

Another vote for Romantic Tuba, although I have the first Bobo album on order. Mr. Bobo's Gravity is Light Today would have been my other favorite. I think Hans Nickel's performances on YT are my favorite there, but I haven't heard his album.

Not world-changing, but for listening fun my favorite is Sam Pilafian's Travelin' Light album. Makes the miles go by when driving, and my family doesn't even mind.
