all trombones until about 18 minutes in, but I'd listen to all of it. it's almost 44 minutes long.

things that occur to me:

Top-level musicians are capable of beautiful shaping of phrases, endless variety of articulation, and all sorts of things that "really good" players don't quite do...
...but (perhaps?) one of the LAST things learned/self-taught (which some never quite learn) is the art of pausing.
Some music (and the Debussy is a classic example) requires considerable reflection between (some of) the phrases...more than seems comfortable to players - until they're comfortable with it.

One other thing that some of us "harmony" players never quite get is that our loudness or prominence should rarely be as loud or prominent as the melody.

For an orchestra's low brass section to program a recital (or more than one...or annual ones...even if not funded) will make a noticeable difference in the blend/ensemble/tuning/phrasing of any orchestra's low brass section.

Thanks for posting both videos, both are huge favorites of mine. Seeing the CSO Brass live is definitely on my short bucket list.
