The community band I play with, the Grand Symphonic Winds, is putting on a concert this Saturday, March 4th at 7pm Central Time. Concert location is the House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 7625 Chicago Ave S, Richfield, MN. The concert is free to attend.
Programmed music (not necessarily in order):
Only Light by Aaron Perrine
Rift by Julian Tanaka
Millennium Canons by Mark Spede
Unfrettered by James Stephensen (world premier - concerto for guitar and wind ensemble)
Music of the Spheres by Philip Sparke
The concert should be streamed on the church's YouTube channel:

@bort2.0 This is less than a 20-minute drive for you. Your attendance is expected
Thanks!

Whether any of us individually are available to watch/listen, how about BUMPING this thread and REPOSTING the link (in a new post) about an hour prior to the show?
Mostly, we're interested in the newest/cheapest subcontrabass fart-weasel, but a few are actually interested in music and performances.

Here's your 2-hour warning, @blokebloke wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:20 pm Whether any of us individually are available to watch/listen, how about BUMPING this thread and REPOSTING the link (in a new post) about an hour prior to the show?

Re: Grand Symphonic Winds - March 4th
The mics set up for the stream did us no favors, but a proper set up won't fix intonation the intonation issues we had. It was probably 80 degrees in there.
We ended up going to the 5-8 Club after. My first time there. Derailing my own thread to rank the Juicy Lucy's I've had:
1. The Nook
2. Groveland Tap
3. 5-8 Club
I still need to give Matt's a try.

Wish I could have attended. I am hoping to play in a group again someday. I’ve had Matt’s and the 5-8 club. I preferred the 5-8 to Matt’s.Big Francis wrote:The mics set up for the stream did us no favors, but a proper set up won't fix intonation the intonation issues we had.
