An example of really fine playing

Post by tubanh84 »

I get unreasonably happy when I stumble upon a good recording of a piece with good tuba playing recorded in a way that allows me to hear the good tuba playing.

This is one of those. Frankfurt Radio Symphony playing Pictures:

The player is Ole Heiland, who won the job last year after the retirement of the group's prior phenomenal tuba player, David Glidden.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while. I didn't realize Dave retired.
