The 5th valve is not original to the horn.
• different rotor
• different ferrules
I wonder how old it is and when the 5th was added to it. And, of course, I wonder how it plays. Cool find. I like the 4th wrap.

I didn't notice that the rotor make was different, but I did notice that it was added on later.
Years ago - when I sold a few new Rudy Meinl tubas - I sold a "3/4" (defacto 4/4) C to a friend/employee.
Soon, they asked me to add a 5th valve.
The rotor/casing that RM sent didn't exactly match the other four, even though it was only a couple of years later.
Paragraph #2 (above) doesn't make any point, but it only points to me wondering if the same Czech maker later supplied most of the added parts.
Any of this picky stuff aside...
I wonder about the mechanical condition and the playing characteristics of this instrument, being that (USA) B-flat interest is picking up, and - in particular - 3/4 B-flat interest has always been fairly high - particularly with the community band/church orchestra types who form quintets.
...I'm also wondering if the low-mounted "lyre holder" - on the bell - is actually a support for a missing adjustable thumb ring (??)
The vibe that I pick up from the pics is "not very much wear nor abuse"...but I'm not a $2800+ "gee...I wonder what this is?" type of guy...but (based on other vibes I'm picking up) most anything is probably a safer asset than "savings of USD's".
