Hi again, all - while researching the early history of the fiberglass Sousaphone yesterday (see my other post from today), I stumbled upon the following advertisements for Mirafone tubas in The Instrumentalist from 1960-1961. They feature Bobo, Johnson, and some fellow-USC Trojans! Fight On!

I've frequently seen Mirafone ads plus those of other instrument makers on Ebay.

By modern standards, those photos are pretty silly:
