IF "Brasso" seems to be the thing, do you buy it, or do you (too lazy/cheap/whatever) pulverize tripoli and suspend it in lacquer thinner...??

(I've finished working on a tuba for a customer with a really old, dark, and worn nitrocellulose lacquer, and I'm sorta trying to make it look like - at least, a couple of months from now - nothing was done to it.)
