A friend forwarded me a note for tuba/euph recital today at 3pm in an Arlington church. Those being the relevant details i recall as i get my car checked before a road trip then pick up a repaired string bass and hope to make it.

I can dredge my email for more details (like specifically what, who, and where if anyone wants to know. I do remember there being an intermission, and Back being somewheres on the first part, and William Grant Still on the second (last concert i did had a piece by him i rather enjoyed, which is how come i his name stuck with me)

Er, first baptist church.

Featuring Peter Belknap on Tuba and Richard Kesner on Euphonium

Are they good enough to drop what i'm doing for? (probably, as that is a low bar for me these days)

Also featuring Yilin You, piano, Hadley Reynolds, French horn, and the Beantown Brass Quintet

Bach, Hindemith, Ewald

Wilder, Bruch, Still, Scheidt, Wilhelm.

Update. It was worth dropping a lot heavier stuff than i was up to.

Sorry i didn't give folk more time to figure out how to get here and hear it.

If i had to picka favorite, the piece that had a segment that sounded like th fabled chicken dance was it.
