Thanks for tracking down the earlier auction. I done seen the Fredonia sign in past month or so (and still think of the Marx Brothers every time) so had i known, i likely woulda weighed in on that one.

As for stencility... sure it has a strong resemblance, as do most modern american sousas. But there is a uniqueness more apparent in the fredonia auction pictures, that i finally figured out, and it is something i particularly appreciate. Alas, am i known for weird tastes in tubas? That has always been my self image, anyway.
