Some of the other (formerly "budget"-priced) lines seem to have become really proud of themselves, and don't seem to be particularly "budget", anymore...but none of them ever offered such a product, either.

There are plenty of 621 and 103 players, and well as the Taiwan/China knock-offs.

Both sizes of the Tuxedo line covered something like 95% of the tubas out there and were decent bags.

I'm trying (??) to talk JP into doing a bag for their JP179B (which - though not complete copies, by any means - would fit the 621 tubas, the 103 tubas, and any other 3/4 front-action knock-offs of Y.)
Crammed into individual boxes, they shouldn't take up an inordinate amount of space in a shipping container, eh?
(Surely JP considers shipping space vs. profit potential...I certainly would.)

The small Miraphone bag isn't cheap, it would probably work. It's the right size for my Martin Eb, which is 32" tall and a tight squeeze for the 17" bell.

Many years ago, I had a Cerveny 653 F tuba, which is the same size as all of the little Yamahas. I had a Cronkite bag made for it, and that was just the slickest bag ever, super svelte and easy to carry. Have never much cared for the big Cronkite bags (extraordinary quality, but really hard for me to carry and walk long distances).

There may be European brands on Thoman or FMB that fit the Cerveny, which would work for you too... Gewa, Soundline (<--I likes this one!), etc

Or laid flat and vacuum packed.

I used the large tuxedo bag for years with no issue.

...several inches shorter than your Olds, and with a two-inch-smaller bell diameter.

I am under the impression at one point these came with bags, a basic canvas duffle style bag. Why do i think this? A forum member gave me one with a dubious zipper (still zipped half way)

I have gotten quite a bit of use out of it as it also fits most medium sized Ebs, and i roughly the right amount of sketchiness that it suits me.

It might flop around a little bit but, if that is annoying, some foam could be put in the bottom bow end. I've spent some time in the last six months trying to find a reasonably priced tuba bag and there aren't a lot of them out there.

Their other two tuba bags are much larger. I looked at their largest euphonium bag and it would not fit 32" tall

Gard makes one that is a little smaller and a little bit more expensive at $259. It's a slightly different design- "mid-suspension". The WWBW listing says that it fits up to 35" tall and 16" bell.

Someone - a while back - asked if there was something that fit his odd-sized tuba (same as you: "other than the $600 stuff"), but theirs was much more odd-sized than yours (whereas your "Yamaha 3/4 shape" is common, they' were looking for "tall/skinny").

I actually spent about 35 or 40 minutes looking all over the place (Europe/India/China/etc.) to see is some lower-priced bag-maker had something that was a pretty good fit. I came back and reported to them I didn't think they were going to have any luck, to which they responded (after having spent all that time downloading PDF's, perusing them, etc.) with some sort of snide remark. I told them what I thought of them, and I ended up being labeled the "bad guy".

Maybe look for a used Altieri? I bought one long ago for a 'medium' King Eb (just about the same size, the small King looks like an American baritone). Sorry, they're hard enough to find that I'm keeping mine.
I'd suggest asking Dillon and Baltimore what they have lying around.
