FS: Eastman 864 Silver Plate F Tuba SOLD
Posted: Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:47 am
Hi!! It's my first post in the new forum!!! Yay!
I am selling my like-new Eastman 864 F tuba. The tuba is around 10 months old and is in excellent condition. From the Eastman website:
"Old world design and craftsmanship meet with the consistency of modern manufacturing. This full size F tuba combines the sound of a Germanic rotary F tuba with a fluid low register and great intonation throughout its range. This tuba works well for the soloist, soars over an orchestra, or blends well with a quintet.
Key of F
4/4 size with a 16.5" yellow brass, upright bell
Five right-hand rotary valves through a graduated .667" - .820" bore"
Price: $5600 obo and includes an MTS-style hard case with wheels. Horn is located in Normal, Illinois. I would be willing to travel several hours to meet you or could arrange a play-test in our concert hall. I'd rather not ship as I don't have a hard case for the instrument, but can discuss shipping options if interested.
This is a spectacular instrument and I hate to see it go, but I am moving in a direction with my bass tuba and my CFO (wife) will not let me keep two F tubas!
PM if you are interested or have questions.
