For tuba players who desperately want to sport a mustache, but a real one would mess with their embouchure?

Trombone players have a long history of putting their trombones together backwards - left handed essentially. Mostly to mess with the conductor, usually a high school band director. The plastic moustache serves the same purpose for people who don't have the luxury of assembling their instrument in subtly different configurations.

Playing with facial hair can be done, and so can inflating chewing gum bubbles, but why make life more difficult for oneself? (the trick to the latter is removing the remains of the deflated bubble before it has time to adhere to the facial hair)

And i know because i listen to WICN as i drive by Worcester, MA that the original smiley face icon was designed there. It is one of their local promos.

I think they're hilarious. The seller of them offered me a batch of four for a bit of a reduced price and I meant to get back with him but life (stuff on my list things to do, at that time) sort of yanked me away from accepting his offer. lf he subscribes here and sees this post, I hope he accepts my apology.

That would be something I would especially enjoy using. The most fun would be showing up for a quintet performance and watching the others trying to play while they were trying not to laugh.
