Even if it has thick lacquer, silver plate, or a "nice patina". Change my mind.

Tubas never complain about sitting in the back or under the bus.

Tubas never complain about sitting in the back or under the bus.
John Fletcher was speaking to the issue of E-flat "basses" vs. F "chubers" once.
He (with his E-flat BASS) and another player (with his F TUBA) were riding somewhere in the same car with their instruments.
The F tuba person said to JF, "We'll put my TUBA in the back seat, and put your BASS in the boot."
