The "Meister Gerhard Schneider to Bach" thing (as far as a Selmer USA import thing) - I'm thinking - happened simultaneously with the (Selmer USA - imported) "horizontal to vertical main slide version" thing.
Later, I believe one of the subsequent conglomerate owners (was it "United Musical Instruments"?) had "Conn" engraved on imported B&S stencils.
