What is this Olds?

Serial No. 279316 - from that auction site. Looking for a "new" to me, re-beginner tuba. Thank you!

Not sure of the model but looks like a typical 3 valve 3/4 BBb designed and marketed for school use. I would not buy it without the dent in the leadpipe being removed, or build the cost of that repair into a discounted price. Not strictly necessary, but it would nice to have the shop rollout the bell while they’re at it!

I had an odd feeling it was a school tuba of some sort. Not just because of the three valved, but it's almost the same size as the Wilson 4-valve euph I played in college.

Amati stencil I think. Back when the Olds name was sold and that NEMC place in NJ imported them from the Czech Republic.

Every time one of those shows up in a pile of instruments to repair for school, I raise my eyebrows.
