Brand New Cronkhite Gig Bag

Post by Sousaswag »

Hi everybody,

After about 10 weeks, my new gig bag for my Willson 3200RZ is here. It is exactly what I expected it to be, which is, VERY nice.

I scored this bag using their 25% off discount code back in January. They beat their 12 week estimate too.

I like how they use black interior fabric, which will keep oil stains hidden, particularly from piston tubas. I chose the Forest Green cordura for this bag, just the single tone. It looks sharp! It also came with a little pouch that I'm assuming is for oil/grease/mouthpiece. Nice little touch.

I don't have my horn back from being rebuilt yet; I will post more photos when I have it back for fitment. Enjoy these unboxing photos.

Very nice bag and the strap placement is designed for someone who has a very, very long torso.

Lucky for me, my torso is super long. I’ve always liked these bags and where they sit on my back.

These and the Altieri bags are the most comfortable for me, I think, but the Cronkhite offer superior protection and support, even if it’s not a lot of protection.

Yeah, not a big fan of short tuba players. They should be playing the accordion, banjo, or the viola.
