The concert opens up (not a "pops" concert) with a fantastic Pink Floyd medley (Dark Side of the Moon LP) orchestrated by Sam Shoup.

I would like to thank a wonderful friend who lives about 750 miles away for grabbing the Sinfonietta off the radio and sending it to me via Dropbox. I'm completely satisfied that the pair of euphoniums - in perfect fifths - were plenty loud, and boy were the bass trumpets loud...
