I am really excited to show you another sound sample of the valveophicleide built by HSM Metallblasinstrumentenbau in Markneukirchen. (Meister Stephan Schmidt)

It's built in F, yes? :cheers:

It sounds quite a bit like a Miraphone model 80 and other conservatively-sized F tubas.

Many, many thanks. Yes, it's in F. It's an exactly copy from an 1850 Ophicleide made by Anton Michálek.

Very cool! Are the valve circuit lengths set up with the standard/modern lengths? 1st is a whole step, 2nd is a half step, etc...

Yes, exactly. The valve lengths are the same like modern F-Tubas.
