Hey, can you remount this Amado water key onto my gold-plated Blackburn C trumpet, and also remove this 50% dent from my perfect/original lacquer Mt. Vernon Bach B-flat trumpet down here where the bell tube goes into the 1st valve casing...??
...and - btw - my wife is planting more stuff in the garden and is telling me to hurry home with two different types of dirt, so - if you could possibly do these quickly...

Just to clarify, it was THEY whose wife was telling them to hurry home, YET pick up special dirt(s) on the way home.
-----------------------
something done TODAY along the property line:
fairly young (two-year-old) grape vines have outgrown their cages, and it was time to free them from their cages (requiring doing a lot of cutting apart of the wire cages themselves) cutting the tendrils, gently tying them up to the (big) horizontal wires (basically a grapevine fence that we put up) - allowing them for form all new tendrils (attached to those horizontal wires).
SOMEONE is wanting to buy a 160-year-old all nickel-brass "wartime" tuba from me (which faces backwards), so - after dinner - it needs to be time to go out and fiddle around with it. Amazingly, the rotary valves are NOT worn.

Ha! I thought it was Mrs. Bloke! Well, I hope you charged ‘em good!
When I was a kid, my grandfather had an entire yard full of grape vines up on trellises. (Remember that scene in The Godfather with Don Corleone and his grandson running through the trellises ? It was like that.) He supplemented those with grates of grapes and would make wine every year. He had a dozen full barrels in a cellar in his basement. I wish I knew where that press was.

Is that his/them/zy/their proper pronoun? Czech your privilege, Bloke.

Yeah, I walked away from two university jobs, and I'm just too old and sensible for nonsense. I view people as individuals, rather than groups - or as people going to costume parties.
I work most every day, and almost every day I end up dirty, sweaty, and smelly. A bunch of days, I'm too tired at the end of the day to do anything about it.

Bristly people who use these kinds of issues to make well meaning others uncomfortable are usually the ones the least deserving of consideration. I’m not going to wring my hands guessing at people’s pronoun preference. It’s similar in some ways to when academics correct others to use “doctor” in addressing them.
I’m not “Tiny Tim” and I’m not tiptoeing through anyone’s minefield of tulips. If they politely specify, I’ll politely accommodate them.
