NOTHING good comes from chatting up ANY of them.

To them, you are a financial nuisance or - at best - and organ stop that's partially screwed up.

That was a very useful blog post, Tony, thanks. Clark Terry was once asked if he had any advice for someone who wanted to pursue a career as a professional musician. He thought for a second and replied, “Show up on time and don’t be a d$#k.” Your post adds a lot of good detail but I think the essence is similar.
