whoops. Circling back to touch up the higher pitches

I've been - nearly exclusively - playing the huge B-flat, working on its mastery and (admittedly...a little bit) it's crazy-low range (down off the piano keyboard, just a bit).

I can still "play" all the highest pitches in (what I consider to be) my "range", but three or for of the top ones (after playing them in an etude fifteen or twenty times) are starting to sound a bit squeaky...
...so what I do to remedy that is to review some of the less-technical "Rochut" (Bordogni trombone book I) etudes (in the written octave, and yes, with the F tuba, because I haven't been playing it all that much either).

...The topic really is NOT "bloke's high range", but - rather - THIS OLD BOOK and (well...) PEGGY.

My OWN (old-old) Rochut books are the same as this one (yup: $2.75...adjusted for 2024 inflation: about $21, which is what they cost, these days).

...but mine are totally fallen apart ref: this...

entertaining outtake from a campy 1960 movie, based on a classic novel:

This one (just as old as mine, but still holding together...probably was included with some trombone that I purchased to flip) belonged to someone named Peggy. It's pretty obvious that Peggy was a little bit too busy with the Christmas concert, the Christmas parade, Christmas itself, and midterm exams to prepare here December 14th private lesson...so this one was reassigned :teeth: for after New Years...but (also, I noticed) the NEXT etude was ALSO assigned.

For you young whippersnappers - who've never seen the ORIGINAL front cover design of these books - they weren't very snazzy:
