Tubby The Tuba

Post by bloke »

I shouldn't have to investigate this for the contractor, but (assuming only five bowed string players could be hired and amplified/reverb-ed) what are the FEWEST winds and percussion that could cover the essential parts to perform this work?

I have already found this, but don't know it it's an adequate list:
In this animated short film Tubby the Tuba is part of an orchestral ensemble that includes a double bass, a clarinet, a flute, a bassoon, a trumpet, a trombone, a French horn, an oboe, a piccolo, a xylophone, cymbals, a piano, cow bells, and kettle drums.
(We've all played it before, but who paid particular attention to instrumentation?)

...' you know who might actually know this...?? @Matt Good :smilie6:

thanx
