With my crappy headphones, that (assuming smaller-bell) version sounds a lot like the piston version.
rotary kaiser B-flat tubas to many Americans:

- "good for community band"
- "Never mind the sound. I prefer pistons. (I can slur with less embouchure accuracy.)"
