Re: Hard cases with wheels.
Would love to see some pictures of how folks use dolly or beach carts to move tubas. I've just received an Eastman 825VG. Horn weighs 24.8 pounds with mouthpiece, the case weighs 35.8 pounds all together a combined weight of 60.6 pounds. Its been hassel getting to a gig and rehearsals over rough ...

Klaus Bjerre music archive?
I remember seeing a reference to Klaus' music archive, but can remember where. Is it still out there? Some friends and I have been asked to play a brief concert in December and I would like to see if there is something like this available https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa_LMqpD6NA that we could ...

Re: Snaking a leadpipe when washing question
Thanks Bloke. That confirmed my suspicions but was sure. Certainly don't want to do any harm.

Snaking a leadpipe when washing question
When washing/rinsing out a German style tuba, is it safe to run the snake through the valve section if the valves have not been removed? The way the tubing is laid out it looks like it would be a clear path.
Thanks

Re: Do you photograph a horn before you put it in the box to ship?
Its a 3/4 Jupiter going to Dillon Music for consignment. I was planning to take it to the trucking terminal and have it shipped from there. Not familiar with Clarion. I just need the insurance from the terminal to Dillon.

Re: Do you photograph a horn before you put it in the box to ship?
How about insurance? I have talked to two freight companies and have been told by both that because the horn is used they won't insure it? When I told the guy at one place it was a tuba, he response was we don't ship them. The box is too big for UPS.

Do you photograph a horn before you put it in the box to ship?
Getting ready to ship a horn. For those of you who have shipped several horns is it worth photographing it before shipping? Wish I had asked before bubble wrapping the the case, but it's not in the box yet... so what does your experience recommend? It's going by truck and I am going to insure it for ...

Re: Polka Music Repository- Post Your Recordings Here
Ok Doc, I am suitably impressed. I've watched that video of the Beer Belly oops Barrel Polka a couple of times now. A most excellent demonstration of that Eastman EBB 562. There were tuba doodles in there that really made the piece shine. Just how high did you get at the end. Great sound out of the ...
