Those were only ever meant as pedagogical tools; an easy way to show what effect different cup depth has.

"Arnold Jacobs had three Adjustable Cup tuba mouthpieces made for him. Jacobs used these mouthpieces to be able to adjust the tone and character of the sound without changing mouthpieces during a performance. After he passed away these three were given to some of his closest students. Unfortunately one was stolen."
I'll proudly accept the title of "a$$hole" from your posting partner. (Frankly, it would concern me a great deal were they - specifically - to express approval of me in quite a few ways in particular. ie. The more blanket/omnibus their expressed disapproval, the more it assures me of being on the right track, etc.)
That having been clarified, have you not stepped across the line over into libel territory, here?

It wasn't all that clear that you were making a joke. I can't help but be reminded of the paranoid schizophrenic person who lives in our house (for whom we must care) who claims - after the fact - that some of the horrible things that they say to us are jokes, after we manage to point out to them how horrible the things that they said were.
I try to reread wisecracks a few times before hitting submit. Every once in awhile I screw up, admittedly.

That same person is also autistic, and tends to misinterpret analogies as accusations or labels...
...as well as tossing out epic psychological projection.
...so does anyone own a "Pocket Rocket"?
If so, what type of wood (or other material) did you select?
