I like the initials, because I suspect most thieves are too dumb to realize that they are custom, but I like this general idea as well.

I really like that medium, but I don’t know about adding it to an instrument.

At first glance, I view it as a fun and ornamental concept as something to put in the D shape of a main tuning slide. If it gets badly damaged, the instrument owner could shrug their shoulders, get over it, and unsolder/remove it.
For a no-F-attachment trombone - where a counterweight is often deemed a necessity, I particularly view it as an interesting and quite decorative alternative to a metal balancer. The additional stained glass in that trombone bell section (in the link provided), I view as over the top and just asking for damage... as well as probably defining the bell section as being out of balance.
Over the last century, we've tended to step away from finding ways to ornament our instruments, yes? ... but most of us actually love a bit of bling.
Like I said, if it busts, get over it and un-solder/remove it.

I’d pay money for a little replica of that window done in real stained glass and lead.

Other than the fear that He might be invoked/activated, I'd certainly go for this one:

That's so gorgeous, that I'd truly be afraid of having some sort of mishap with it.
