I recognize Rodney Peppenhorst's generic band LP cover. I was long gone by 1979. A whole bunch of people who enrolled the year I did would have still been around, but - after a year or so - I realized how silly it was to be almost 20 years old and still in school (memorizing their who-cares test answers was conflicting with gigs), so I just pushed really hard and got their degree thingy in three years and left. (75 - 77) I think my wake up call was when my high school buddy - who graduated from high school a year after I did - was at that University with me for one year, and then quit and got a job playing tuba and bass in an Army band in Germany.
Thanks for taking pictures of that LP. I don't recognize any of the tunes. I'm not much of a band scholar at all.

I guess they didn't think it was important to list the musicians...
1979 was actually the year I decided to find some sort of day job and began repairing instruments.

I think it was because -- that same year - a six night a week job that I had (that didn't get me home until 2:00 in the morning) ended, and I was able to get up early enough in the morning to actually consider doing a day job. Prior to that, I had a five night a week from 6:00 to 9:00 and two blocks away I had a 9:30 to 1:00 a.m.
