This sucks, because if someone drives out to see me I expect to be able to put them up for the night, but mom's health issues will not allow that right now.
Further, as I have not lived in the Jackson area for seventeen years I cannot give good advice on where to stay in town. I can only recommend spending some $$$ and staying in Madison at a Hampton Inn or the like. I do not know about vehicle break-ins or theft at hotels right now. (Might be okay, but don't know.)
I can tell you where some restaurants and safe gas stations or truck stops are, routes to avoid, the usual commuter stuff, but not any resident-type information.
Sorry. I know: I suck.
But if you were planning on coming out please don't let this change your plans, even if we cannot really hang out except for right after the concert, as we have to go tend to mom. Despite this, I really would love to see all of you!
This is a fun solo, I am playing it well, and I think the orchestra will play well, too. It is a community group, but still very proficient. I played in the MCO on and off for about 20 years and loved it and the people. I am honored to "front" such a great group of players and friends.
I hope to see you the Sunday after Easter at St. Andrew's Cathedral! Message me for details if you need them.
Despite the photo, I will be playing my Kurath F and using the newly released Sellmansberger "Orchestra Grand Ultimate" mouthpiece.
Due to a request from the church there will be no nudity or animal sacrifices on the alter this time. Sorry.
