Is the outer large branch flattened, or is it just the lighting?

I might have a shiny Jimbo bottom bow to replace that one with the huge patches on it…but I think my Jimbo one - though shiny - might (if I’m remembering correctly) have a twist in it.
...oh: i’m not bidding on that tuba.
