Nice, old MW 30.

EDIT: And then the elephant realized that this is not a MW 30 because the 30 has a 3rd slide out front and not buried within the wrap. So none of his comments about price or playing characeristics have any validity in this thread.

I was curious about that giant patch looking thing under the thumb ring also!

It's not over the ferrule. It also looks the same metal, wear, patina of the rest of the NS on the tuba. Could be original? I've seen some really old horns with this before. Maybe an old Sander...?
