You can have fun and work on your music-making skills by playing songs and tunes. Maybe these can help spur thinking and inspiration for others to get off paper and make music with playing familiar songs and tunes by ear.
Unless otherwise stated, all arrangements unwritten. They are done on the fly/by ear/while you wait. No paper.

Re: Fun Tune of the Week - Sweet Caroline
I wish I could have caught up with him. I’d like to check out his helicons, talk shop, and hear him down at the farmer’s market or some other gig. This trip, I was helping my brother with my dad. He’s not doing well at all (might be the last time I ever see him in this life), so it was not the best time to hang with Mike.

‘ very sorry to hear that news, Bill.
Having been born when my parents were forty, I went to those sad times earlier in my life. It is a tough time, for sure. After they are gone, we still think about our parents every day - as if they are still here.
Mike’s helicon is here, and he wants me to try to switch some plumbing around with a switch valve - after I get through some other repairs.

Thanks. My folks were 39 when I was born. My brothers are 16 and 18 years older - I was a surprise. Mom passed 19 years ago. Think about her in one way or another daily.bloke wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 6:46 am ‘ very sorry to hear that news, Bill.

Good luck on the helicon. I’d like to honk on it one day.

Re: Fun Tune of the Week - Sweet Caroline
yeah...
With a brother and sister - who were born in the 40s, I grew up with two sets of parents in the house.
Both of my siblings are brilliant in many-many ways (as were my parents), but - in one way - they are stupid, in that they both believe that I am smarter than they are.
