SOLD: Bb Tenor Orenophone (Euphonium)
Up for sale is a VERY unique instrument, possibly the only of its kind in the world. The only other orenophone I know of is in Eb and is owned by Oren Marshall. This tenor orenophone was made for me by J.c. Sherman, and boy did he do a good job! I have used this horn primarily for TubaChristmasses and jazz projects and it's been a hit. For those unfamiliar, orenophones are brass instruments shaped like saxophones. This one is roughly the size and shape of a baritone sax.
The instrument sounds just like a normal euphonium, and has a more open sound than most. Intonation is great. Plating on the valves and compression are both great as well. The instrument is dent free except for a small dent in the leadpipe from setting it down wrong.
Because of the size I would prefer a local sale, and I am willing to drive a reasonable distance from Cleveland to meet a buyer. I can ship at buyer's expense if you're too far, though. Please feel free to shoot me a reasonable offer if you're interested! Included is the sax strap which makes it very comfortable to play sitting or standing.
I'm asking $1,499 for this, but please shoot me an offer if you think I priced this wrong. Email me at tylerferris1213@gmail.com for pictures and more information. Trust me, you want to see what this horn looks like!

Any particular reason you don't stick up pictures so we can effortlessly see it?tylerferris1213 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 3:22 pm Trust me, you want to see what this horn looks like!

I'm having trouble downscaling the pictures so they don't exceed the file size maximum.

Re: SOLD: Bb Tenor Orenophone (Euphonium)
yeah....
I spotted it on facebook; looked interesting, but it was already sold by then. I'm also now spoiled by having 4 or 5 valves (or a slide) on my horns that are that length or bigger, so that would have been tough.
