Yamaha 642S 4-Valve Compensating Euphonium for sale. I bought this horn in 2009, and am the second owner. I estimate the original owner had it maybe a year or two before I purchased it. Serial number 340xxx, but I don’t believe that Yamaha publishes their dates. Instrument has been well-cared for! Always Hetman oils, flushed every 1-2 years, and no dents. Only has the typical minor/faint surface scratches from standard use, and one pencil-sized ding (probably even smaller than that…I didn’t notice it until today). Fantastic horn and all valves and tuning slides are free. I did notice last summer that (at an outside/humid weather gig) the first valve was being temperamental. Haven’t noticed anything since, but maybe something to keep an eye on(?). Case is also missing one leg (pictured). Grime gutter included. Listing for $4000…open to offers, but also not in a hurry to sell. Can ship, though will gladly knock the price down for someone who can meet up. I accept PayPal/Venmo (buyer pays fees), bank check, or cash if a meet up. Happy to answer additional questions.
