What were the modifications?
And the price was what bort listed, so the mods do not affect him selling it for that price, before or after they were made.

Tony sold it in 2016 and at that time said he had over $9k in it, but sold via fire sale to unload it or something ...AFAIK it was all tricked out already.the elephant wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2023 3:16 pm What were the modifications?

Since then...? (Besides inflation)
I'm going to guess it sits there for a few months at that price. I have no doubt that it plays well and sounds huge. But for $10k, there are a LOT of options.

Do you know what was done to it after Martin Wilk "created" the thing? And who did them? Or are you referring to the bell swap and the removable valve section as the modifications?

This is most of what I know:
http://forums.chisham.com/viewtopic.php ... fen+martin
I want to say that I chattied with the person who bought it and then sold it after that, but I just can't remember. So many things have been scrubbed from the old place I'm never going to find it again.
If I had to guess, it would be that nothing else was done to the tuba after it left Martin.
