FS: Cerveny hard case FREE (mostly)
Here is a hard case that is in the way, has nowhere to be stored, and is making my wife really unhappy. It is FREE if you pick up or cover actual shipping costs. It is in great shape except for the damaged wheel (see photo). This is a case provided with Cerveny 686 tubas. So, a tuba 38" tall with 18" bell will fit fine. Tomorrow I can try tubas that are closer to 40" to see if they will go.

I would very much like to have this, send you a FedExGround label, and something additional for the nuisance of dealing with it (if not something extra for the value of the case itself).

Re: FS: Cerveny hard case FREE (mostly)
I've had to duck out with my head hung low - and with sincere apologies...
The shipping is just too much to send it this far from the west coast (even to a business address).
I was hoping to use it for my F tuba, and - it seems to me - that it would fit not only Cerveny 4/4 stuff, but (yes?) a 188 and some other models.
The pictures show that the interior padding is quite thick, so I would assume that pulling out the lower pad (I've done that plenty of times with other cases) and shaving it down would allow this case to easily accommodate taller cases.
This is a Jakob Winter made hard case (top quality), so its certainly worth bolstering a small crack and replacing a wheel.

@greenbean
If not spoken for, I’d like to try the fit of my York 712 and it just so happens that I’ll be coming really, really close to you either Thursday or Sunday of next week and have said tuba with me.

The problem with shipping is the GIRTH of the thing. They case less about weight. The (high) price is the same whether there is a tuba inside or not!

Is the case still available? I bought a 686 a couple months ago with a gig bag but I would also like a case.
Where are you located?

It actually makes me happier that Mr.-truly-a-super-nice-guy is getting that case than had I gotten it.
