c. 1990's black molded Jakob Winter case (originally sold with Cerveny 681 rotary)

A new tracking number appeared on my "informed delivery" daily email, and it says that "whatever that package is" (??) is in Memphis.

I wonder if they stuck it on a plane, yesterday, and flew it down from Rochester...??

...or if that tracking number is for some video gaming crap that my son bought...??

Miraculously (street # and zip code reversed by German seller), it has arrived.

It's in remarkably good condition - other than a chipped area on one of the two wheel's plastic flanges (not the case cortex itself).

It appears to be a tuxedo fit, but - alas - the maximum bell easy-fit diameter is 15".

I believe it would be IDEAL for an Alexander F tuba, so I'm offering it for sale to (probably...??) anyone with an Alexander F tuba in really nice shape who would prefer a CASE - rather than a padded sack.

BTW...This is NOT a heavy case - as it only weighs 17 lbs. and is a SLIMLINE fit - so not some generic MTS blob.

Also, it's a really FINE case - a Jakob WInter European-made case.

I'm offering it for what I paid for it including shipping from Europe (which I'll need to investigate).

I'll have a number soon, but it was $3XX, including the overseas shipping.

I'm in western Tennessee, but have friends who would easily get it to Nashville, central Mississippi, and northeastern Arkansas - if any of those would save someone a few hours of driving to fetch this case.

I also might (??) be able to talk a friend into schlepping it up to an hour or so northwest of "the city" (NYC).

' sorry I can't turn loose of it for one-fifty, but the shipping wasn't cheap and (well...) if you're like me - you would REALLY prefer this case's weight, slimline fit, and quality (even though it's used and older - though not damaged) to a heavy, blob-shaped, USA-made molded case.

If your Alex F tuba weighs 18 or 19 pounds...??, that tuba in this case would be a very manageable approx. 35 lbs. total weight.
also...Jakob Winter is really the "right" case (not MTS/SKB, etc.) for an Alex or small (model 180/80) Miraphone F...

note: ̷M̷i̷r̷a̷p̷h̷o̷n̷e̷ ̷"̷F̷i̷r̷e̷b̷i̷r̷d̷"̷ bell diameter is 15¾ inches, so - if you think you're going to shoehorn one of those into this case - you're on your own, because the EXTERIOR diameter is a scant 16 inches.

His dimensions will fit a 184 if it has the older, smaller bell. (15" maximum.)

The bell on my B&S F tuba is 17", so the case won't fork for me. I knew this, but I did go measure it again to be sure.

probably (nearly certainly), if it's a C and a 14-1/4 inch diameter bell...and check the height of the instrument.

The old-old B-flat 184 tubas were actually TALLER than the C's (1-inch-or-so taller bell, and - actually - a different bottom bow for the B-flat).

I have a friend who bought a house (she's a truly amazing drummer, but does better as a therapist) who owns a house about ten miles from me, but her job is at a place on the Gulf.

I might (??) be able to coax her to take it to her oceanside hotel in Destin (where she has a permanent room) if you would be willing to drive to her and fetch it.

Again, it's quite sleek and form-fitting (not blobby/shells-made-to-fit-many-models - as with MTS cases).

With apologies - I sorta need to stick with the asking price (also previously stated), as I believe it would be a really nice case for a 15"-bell Bohemian F tuba (here) that - someday - I'll fix up for sale.
