Would anyone like to buy this and additionally pay about $5 postage for me to send it in some bubble wrap in a padded envelope?
Adapters are typically $10 - $15, but this one is a "bit" of a rarity, so I'm going to ask $30.
After all...The 2023 $30 is the 2020 $15.

Re: CURVED euphonium adapter from old British receiver to large shank mouthpiece
Are you sure this is a euphonium adapter?
It looks exactly like the bit that came from the factory with B&H Imperial compensating tubas. I had such a bit at one time, that came with a very well-preserved Imperial from the mid 1950's that I bought.
I've linked pictures below of the bit that I had, as well as a scan of an old advertisement that shows the bit installed on one of these tubas.

Re: CURVED euphonium adapter from old British receiver to large shank mouthpiece
The small end fits the old English (and WIllson 2900) in-between size euphonium receivers, and the large end is brass trombone shank...but I'll go back and see if it bottoms out in bass shank receivers.
I'd give you a 73.224% chance that you're right, and I'm wrong.

Re: CURVED euphonium adapter from old British receiver to large shank mouthpiece
LOL...One thing I ain't gonna do (as it usually doesn't turn out well) is to puff out my chest and insist that I'm "right".
BUT IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE...
I just now checked it on one of my Besson small-shank (bass trombone size) receiver tubas, and the bit/adapter BOTTOMS OUT in the (tuba) small (bass trombone sized) receiver at the curve and RATTLES...
...so (though I believe this adapter/bit IS a Edgware Rd. Besson product, and the same STYLING as your bit) I'm sticking with representing it as per my original claim.
I DO VERY MUCH APPRECIATE the cautionary heads-up.

Re: CURVED euphonium adapter from old British receiver to large shank mouthpiece
Well...very interesting! I learned something!
It's baffling to me why B&H would make such a bit. If this were used to adapt a large-shank mouthpiece to any medium-shank B&H/Besson euphonium I've ever played, it would probably render the instrument unusably flat (based on how little the tuning slide is pulled without a bit).
Good luck with the sale--hopefully someone will see this and find it useful!

I found it in one of my boxes of "stuff-from-who-knows-where"...I don't need it. It's not taking up space, but I'd rather it be money than "something-not-needed-by-me".
If I'm asking too much (??), the market should function - as it always does (when allowed to do so).
brainstorming for a possible purpose: (???)
- Euphoniums' mouthpipes come out sideways (as with the Yorkophone front-action tubas' mouthpipes).
- The bit would straighten the angle of the instrument (particularly for those who could - then - rest the instrument on their lap).
- It would also serve as what it seems to be: an adapter from a less-common-shank mouthpiece to a more-common-shank mouthpiece.
Any/all of these could be shouted down as dumb guesses...but - hey: "I got nuthin..." so...
