We don't have that day over here. We are all proud of our sins. I'll probably ask forgiveness for all of my trolling about 4 seconds before I croak.

This is not the day for chickens.

This is the day for literal and figurative turkeys.

"Hi Ho lacquer, away.."

Just doesn't sound the same...

And i learned about improper fractions... A tuba and a half, all in one instrument? That's gluttony for ya.

If all of the best players only bring six quarter York copies to auditions, the committees have to pick one of them, even if they had all potentially sounded better on something else.

Having conducted peer-reviewed experiments, I've determined that silver plated tubas - with some areas worn down to lacquer - sound the very best.

I'm not sure about that, haven't there been a bunch of no-winner auditions?

argumentative and off-topic

"No winner" auditions are (I personally tend to strongly suspect) those where someone's buddy found out (after an audition was scheduled) that they could not get excused from scheduled services to audition; thus no "winner" (and I don't like the word "winner", as it's not a prize, but - rather - it's a job) was declared.
